My teaching methodology for singing is typically one of the most specialised for the individual, though always built around strong, classically-informed technique and understanding. With these foundations in place we can move into any genres of singing (blues, folk, opera, musical theatre), always referring back to our classical training and helping us to become flexible yet consistent singers. In terms of exam boards I generally use the ABRSM syllabus and grading structure though am also happy to use Trinity.

Having grown up performing in church and cathedral choirs, singing has been a huge part of my musical life. While I tend to work more as a choral conductor and musical director for various musical theatre ensembles, I have previously been a member of the BBC National Chorus of Wales, choral scholar with Metropolitan Cathedral of St David, Cardiff, and have sung in various chamber choirs and barbershop quartets.
